  1. No problem at all. If you have any questions just send me a message. I'm a teacher so know a bit about the local schools and kinders.
  2. We live in Clyde North. The area is undergoing housing expansion similar to Pakenham so the newer estates won't have the infrastructure. However the older estates like Cascades and Selandra Rise do have schools, kinder, shops and cafes. There is also a bus that takes you to Cranbourne. As for commute it depends on where your husband will be working. If it is towards the city the traffic will be very busy. My husband travels towards Carrum Downs and doesn't find it too bad.
  3. Good luck with your upcoming move. There are many Brits in Cranbourne and surrounding suburbs. We live in Clyde North which is close to where you will be moving to. Let me know when you arrive and I'll put you in touch with people.
  4. Thanks everyone for your replies. Yes Seppo that's the problem. It's happened a few times for me and my husband on separate computers. Thanks jmartian for your suggestion. I am eligible after being her for over 4 years on a PR visa. It the graphics and links that are making it hard for me to apply. I'll keep on trying.
  5. I'm eligible to apply for citizenship and have tried a number of times to access the website but it doesn't seem to be working properly. Has anyone else noticed a similar problem or is it just me?
  6. Hi Jomark2oz, We live in Clyde North and my husband works in Mount Waverley. So similar distances to where you are thinking of living and working. The distance to and from work isn't too bad but the traffic is the problem. Depending on weather, accidents and other circumstances the journey can vary. He manages though and loves the area we are in so it's worth it too him. Jordanl
  7. Hi LadyCroft Some of the houses on the estate are in Cranbourne East and some are in Clyde North. Some of them are apparently half in one suburb and half in the other!!! The new suburb will include Cascades, Selandra and Hunt Club. It will probably happen some time next year.
  8. Hi LadyCroft Welcome to Clyde North as it's currently known (the name of the suburb will probably be changing to Casey Fields soon). We live on the Selandra Rise estate so probably quite close to you. There are a lot of places to visit around here. When we first arrived we would point the car in a different direction each weekend and explore. We love going to Phillip Island and the nearby beaches. It's also nice to go for a drive in the Dandenongs. There are some nice places there including one picnic groud where you can feed wild parrots. Don't forget Mornington Peninsular and Sorrento. If you want more info send us a message and we'll catch up sometimes. Sue
  9. Hi Yvonne, Welcome to Berwick! We have lived in Berwick for over 2 years now after moving from the UK. We currently live on the Chase Estate. if you want to meet up for a chat sometime let me know. There are a lot of Poms around and I can puy you in touch with quite a few of them. Sue
  10. For now Melbourne is the best place for us. Who knows what will happen in a year or so!
  11. We were moving to Brisbane but that changed a few weeks ago and now we're staying in Melbourne.
  12. I think we will be here for quite a while longer. Ste likes Brisbane though so I don't know if it will be permanent.
  13. Hopefully Karen will get her wish and we'll all go and see Take That.
  14. Next time I'll get you dancing at the front.
