  1. I would be interested to hear any info on this too!!!
  2. I am a student nurse and would be interested in an answer to this too!!!
  3. Hey Emmaroo, I am just starting the 2nd year of my degree and at 40 years old it is a lot to juggle, family, work and study, but it is also very exciting to know that in 2 years I will be a qualified psychiatric nurse and able to go out and hopefully get some satisfaction in doing a job that will be demanding but rewarding. This is actually my 3rd year of learning as I to did a college course to enable me to get a place at Uni. It is great for my kids to see me working for something and hopefully teach them to knuckle down harder at school (unlike their mother at their age) and get their qualifications at a younger age. The only advice I can give is GO FOR IT.......you are never to old there are woman on my course closer to 50 and are going to make fab nurses...life experience and all that. I wish you all the luck in the world in the new chapter in the book of life. :yellow_guy_smiling_

    Advice

Hi, I think it to prove that he is dependent on you, therefore being able to go on the 457 visa, because once a child reaches 18 they are classed as adults they would possibly not qualify if earning enough money to be classed as independent, but if in full time education then they would still be classed as dependent. Hope this helps, hopefully someone maybe able to explain it more clearly.
  6. Hey again, I had to attend college for a year to gain an Access certificate to higher education as I had no previous relevant qualifications. Depending on your partners education (whether she has already done a degree or has the relevant A levels to get her into University) will determine whether she is able to attend University. I didn't even apply to Uni's in Oz as the working situation with my husband was not an option. The following link will give you and idea of what to expect http://www.rcn.org.uk/nursing/becomenurse Failing that I would research what University she would like to go to that offer nursing degrees and see what their entry requirements are. Hope this helps.:unsure::unsure:
  7. Hi there, I looked down the route of studying nursing in Australia and found out that it would cost to study there which was fine but my husband would only be aloud to work a certain amount of hours as he would be coming over on my student visa. So I have put everything on hold and am coming to the end of my first year studying in UK, the fees are covered and you get a bursary as income here, so I will pursue my dream of moving again in 2 /3 years. In England (I live in Wales, slightly different where only do degrees in nursing) you can do a 2 year nursing diploma (I think this is changing soon though and only 3 year degrees will be taught) which I think is acceptable in Australia but you will need to check. Sorry couldn't be of more help GOODLUCK :yellow_guy_smiling_
