  1. sorry to sound thick but how do you front load visa with medical stuff as i thought the hospital have to submit direct to your immi account and if they've not been requested yet where would the link be?? thanks bev PMV loadged for finance may 2015
  2. hi everyone there is lots of conflicting info as to the the length of time this visa is taking to process. The website states 6-10 but some forums suggest up to 14. can anyone who received theirs recently or who is part way through the process give some indicator as to the state of play. mine is a simple case my fiancé is in the uk there are no children involved etc. Also, how do you go about front loading the visa with the medical info?? i remember from my PR that the Hospital had to upload to the immi site directly so how do they do that if the medicals haven't been requested?? thanks bev PMV lodged May 2015
  3. hahah, thanks melza. x youre right I know, but theres something about this one......im always ten steps ahead, but I can see this may get a bit complicated so just trying to think on my feet. But yes, youre right x thanks x

  5. Hi Everyone.. So, after various traumas and hiccups I am in posession of a 189 perm res visa YEY. flight booked to arrive Perth 21st Sept double YEY. Amazing job in bag, triple YEY.:yes: Im single and one of my motivations to go to Aus is to hopefully earn enough money to buy a house and settle down AT LASt (35 on the horizon) So, complication is that there is someone here who I have liked alot for a long time. Maybe its the fact I know im going has given me the courage to tell him.......and it turns out he feels the same. Weve talked alot previously about things and he used to live in perth and has family in new south wales..........hed love to go back to oz. He lived in perth till he was 16 but no passport. ok, so Ive got 6 weeks left here........i definately can see the potential that he may be the one......BUT ......im not going to throw away my visa, or the amazing job offer ive been given...... so just before i dive headlong into this...what would be the options.....i know you have to have been with someone for 2 years to be added as a partner on a visa......his job isnt on the skills list (civil servant) what would be the story with sponsorship...and could his family in NSW sponsor him? This is the most leftfield thing ever, so annoyed I didnt tell him sooner........anyone know my options???arrghhhhhhhhhhh Thanks Bev

  7. hi guys after the blood sweat and tears generated by getting my visa its in spitting distance. All i need to do is send my police clearance certificate then Im hopefully home and dry!!!!!!! Planning to get to Bris at the end of Sept/beginning of August and hope to base myself in Teneriffe. oct nov dec janis the festival season in oz and all the bands that have appeared at the european festivals then go through japan etc and start appearing in oz. I lived in the Sunshine coast for 18 months 3 years ago and one of the main things that I missed was being able to see bands easily. I would travel down to bris now and again to see bands on my own (maximo park/keane/madness) but its not quite the same on your own. Would love to hook up with some music appreciating poms for the festivals/bands in and around the gold coast/bris/NSW. anyone out there need or want an enthusiastic gig buddy???:laugh: bev x x x x x x x
  8. I personally think aussie sunscreens arnt very nice...dont smell as good :-/ and definately quite expensive. My friend in perth has yorkshire t bags and piz buin on her list for every visitor
  9. Hi kelly Just so you know, the furniture in australia is VERY expensive and fairly naff. Some ikea stuffis the sameish price, lots of it is much more. Im going to take everything, inc beds etc. My advice would be if youre not taking furniture defs take towels bedding etc. This is SO expensive there, and nowhere near as good quality. Most rentals in oz are unfurnished and the difference you pay for furnished would defs pay for the shipping overall. Im going to be using the move cube http://www.sevenseasworldwide.com/shipping/movecube lots of really good reports about it. I lived in queensland for 2 years and took buggar all, it cost me a fortune in kitting myself out with even simple stuff such as crockery pans etc bedding. I learnt my lesson and this time its all going. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need any other help x x x
  10. HI I made a similar presumption- GIANT error. the only experience that is valid is that stated on your skills certificate from your given authority. I really wouldnt rely on the presumption (i did and have had a costly re-run of the process :-/) As per previous posts, do you need the 15 to take you to 60? My advise as to the quickest and possibly cheapest way round it is to do an IELTS (if you havent already)_ and aim to get 20 poits for that. That way you dont even have to worry about getting another skills certificate. My advise is only declare WATERTIGHT info. The computer in my case said no and cost me 2000 pounds :-( good luck, im on my second application, would have been cheaper now to have got a agent, but you live and learn. I dont thinkin this case you have anything to gain from an agent...just BOX off the IELTS and secure 20. bev EOI no 1 2nd jan 2013 = 60 points, 189 app 14th feb 2013, CO 4th April 2013, realised id cocked up on 4th April 2013. IELTS test 6th April = overall 9. EOI number 2= 75 points on 7th April. offer of application 14th April. Applied SECOND time 16th April 2013. FINGERS CROSSED im there for my bday sept 2013 x x
  11. Hey THANKS for this, its looking like I might just go for it so I'd love to meet your daughter x Ill let you know as soon as I know xxxx bev
  12. I think the other guys are right, I think it was the australian study question which I have misinterpreted, I'm going to set up an EOI today on a friends email address and go through all the questions again to see where I might have gone wrong. now I know this its obvious that the EOI is floored in so many ways. It's ok saying that you should check that your EOI is right but if you don't know what questions attract what points then how do you know? There should be a summary which tells you exactly the points that were generated by what question. Im still stuck as to what I should do re case officer- or whether her wording means that she can see its a genuine error. All it says is if you can provide evidence of A further 5 points, it doesn't say provide evidence of the 5 points I claimed in the EOI................ bev
  13. I cant find out what i actually stated on my EOI....... and what points were given for each of my answers...where do i check this?
  14. Im trying to get back and look at exactly what i ststed in my expression of interest but I cant seem to find it. How do I look again at it? Im on the skillselect homepage and ive looked at all correspondance but I cant find it HELLPPPPPPPPP bev x
  15. Hi everyone l have made a HUGE error with my visa app. Trying to resolve it and wondered what everyone's thoughts were. I have applied for a 189- case officer e mailed me on thurs to say she's looked at my file and everything is in order other than the MAJOR fact that when I filed my EOI it assigned me 60 points but when she has looked my evidence I only have 55. she says thermoset common reason people mistakenly believe they have 60 when they actually only have 55 is that there is a question which asks "do you hold an australian batchelors degree or the equivalent" I now remember that I agreed with this statement as I interpreted it to mean did I hold an equivalent degree.... Ie was my degree an equivalent. I now realise that this is not what the question asked..... It meant did I hold an australian equivalent qualification, ie from Australia. I have been a TOTAL muppet. I obviously cannot show evidence for this extra 5 points. She has asked that if I can show I have another 5 points that I need to send info, but I I haven't I will have to withdraw my application..............AND forgot the fee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on Thursday I was beside myself.... Devastated. I am so desperate to hand my notice in and get away - and now the likelihood is I've put myself back to the start of the process. My points are generated through my age = 25, skilled employment in uk 10 points, skilled employment in oz (I worked there for 18 months on a 457 in 09/10) = 5 points qualification at time of invitation = 10 popoints total 55 My initial reaction was that I'm doomed but after speaking to a few people who have gone through the process I decided to take a chance, therefore yesterday I made a mad dash to London to do an IELTS test.... Of which I sat it today. Now , I know the rules state that you HAVE to complete and pass the IELT BEFORE the application, BUT I have 24 days left of my case being open with the case officer. It takes 13 days to get the results. if I get 7s that will give me 10 points , therefore my points will be at least 60. what does anyone think my chances are? I know they are slim but I definitely realised it was worth a shot rather than admitting defeat and starting again. my reasoning is that maybe the rules about having passed the IELTS before the app, is so they don't have shed loads of open cases whilst people mess about resetting etc , and it stops people applying and then not getting the grades to fulfill the points. my oth concern is that IF I get 7s my points score is then higher than that at which I applied my EOI..... I.e minimum 65 rather than 60 im prepared that the CO will see what I have done and my visa will be rejected BUT I really hope common sense prevails id be really interested to see what everyone thinks, don't hold back if you think I'm buggered. At this stage it's EVERYTHInG crossed :-(
