    Recommendations for Dog Shipping

Thats really expensive, our too large German Sheperds, with a month boarding in the U.K due to our vet giving Lepto vac when they shouldn't have, we had to wait for bloods to clear, all treatments & checks, flights, Quarantine in Sydney & flights to Brisbane Total cost around £8,000. Please make sure that when your dogs have their annual boosters that the vet doesn't include Leptosperosis vacine, we have had problems due to our vet giving our dogs this vacine as it shows as possative in their blood tests and you have to wait for it to clear. You tend to worry more than your dogs do about their journey, just think possative that one day they will be joining you again, hope this helps  Lesley

    Best visa for daughter

Thanks Sharon, have heard of this one, but not quite sure if it apply's to her, will try to look into it as I am her last remaining Relative, her dad is dead, so me & her stepdad are all she has, really don't want to leave her in U.K. by herself, thanks....Lesley

    Recommendations for Dog Shipping

Hi Claire, we arrived in Oz 4 weeks ago, our dogs are at Sydney at the moment in quarantine, we used Par air in Colchester, they were very reasonably priced as we have 2 large German Sheperds cost was important. We did the whole thing with them including blood tests fleaing, worming, permits and all. They arrived in Sydney healthy & happy, think I was more stressed about their journey than they were. Now looking forward to them joining us after another flight from Sydney to Brisbane on 9th October. Lesley:wink:

    Best visa for daughter

Looking for advice on which would be the best visa for daughter. My husband and I have recently made the move to Australia, my daughter would like to now join us, she is 35 yrs old and is not on any occupation that is in demand by the Qld goverment. She has no family back in the U.K. apart from my 90 year old mother who is in a nursing home with dementia, her brother, my son still lives there but they haven't spoken for eight years after a big fall out & is unlikely to ever make up. I am desperate for her to join me, so I would be gratefull for any help. Lesley

    Problem with renting-help

Another problem we have also found that Australian immigration will not allow the dogs across unless we can give an address, or we would have a short stay somewhere, feels like we're going round in circles, how have others got round this, must be some way. :wink:Lesley
  12. We fly to Brisbane on 12th August, arriving 14th and have a problem with finding somewhere to rent because we're not there to do a veiwing. We have two German Shepard dogs so need an enclosed back yard and would like to be around the Beenleigh/Logan area. Unfortunately most real estate agents will not let you rent unless the property has been viewed either by yourself or someone else, but we have no-one in Oz, so this is where our problem arrises. Can anyone surgest how we can get around this, or reccomend a real estate agent who will let without a viewing. Many Thanks:wink: Lesley
