We typed ours or rather I did!! Dave wrote out what he wanted to say and I typed it for him!!!.........bought a tear to my eye it did! Our friends who wrote statments for us typed theirs too and just emailed them to us. Hope this helps debsx

Hey no worries katynick! I take this as positive info, you are right we are moving up the queue!!! Wahey! Us Poms like our queues!!!! I remember last 'summer' it was LASHING it down with rain one day and there was a MASSIVE queue at the ice cream van!!!.........nothing to do with the thread really but it made me smile!!! lol only in Britain eh?....get me to Oz!! debsx

Great idea for a thread!! Thankyou :biggrin: Like many of us on here, been really really fed up recently:cry: this is turning out to be a long depressing winter!!!! But I shall ''build a bridge 'n get over it!!'' lol Had a bottle of bubbly in the fridge since Sept......it even moved house with us........will now open it when the first NON CSL CAT 5 WITHOUT A CASE OFFICER PRIOR TO 23/9/09 gets a case officer!!! so hurry up DIAC I'm getting thirsty!!! Nice to hear from you Lyndhurst looking forward to further updates from you too. Bet it's a bit warmer where you are, it's freezin' here in the uk. Lots has been happening over the past couple of weeks. DIAC have started to process Catagory 5 SS visas where police checks and meds were requested by case officers prior to Sept 23rd changes. Doesn't look like any QLD sponsored ones have been granted though zippy x

At last I have found our password and am able to log on and personaly, albeit cyberspace style, thank the Oz House Crew for what they did yesterday. As said many times before it is really really appreciated. Communication links now open is an incredible step. Thankyou once again debs and family x

we too have been wondering about the scenarios above. Does anyone know the tax implications, or any other implications for that matter, of keeping your Uk property and renting it out whilst you move to Oz? zippy

We literally put our paperwork together in the order we wished it to be read. No sleeves or staples used but we may have used paperclips?!! Popped it all in one large envelope and everything was absolutely fine. Hope this helps. zippy

Our Update Well after selling our home and selling a second house that we owned we are now living in a rental. Our plan A was to hopefully be in oz summer 2010 as our eldest boy will have just taken his GSCEs. It may still happen??!! who knows? For us our crucial deadline is Jan 2011 so he can start year 11 at school over there. We are just going to have to sit tight for 6 months and revaluate the situation. We may buy an investment property in the new year as we all know the interest rates are shockin at the mo:yes: If we are still in this situation this time next year then we may have to take drastic action ie going down the ENS route....if that's still applicable then?? One thing this emmigrating business has taught us is, we have learnt how to be patient. I just wish there was any easy way to sum the 23/9 changes up in a nutshell.....fed up of explaining it to our family and friends what is happening!! the cynical amongst them think we were never going to go anyway........well just let them wait and see:wink: we'll get there just don't know how or when yet! Stay positive guys and we hope Qld start dishing out them sponsorships again preety soon. debsx

If you work in a manufacturing industry like myself (Soft Furnisher) and Dave (Metal Machinist First Class), and like us are hoping to head to Qld then you may be interested in this QLD paper. It's 'Manufacturing Skills Queensland Industry Skills Report March 2009' http://www.msq.org.au/documents/MSQ-March-2009-Industry-Skills-Report.pdf It's 84 pages long but it does reassure you there is manufacturing in Qld and that it has recently been analised. We exchanged contracts on our house sale on 22 sept!!!........then next day thought sh#t, what have we done?? Anyway, we are now living in our pre Australia rental property, very comfortable thankyou and we are now in a good position to move to Oz quickly should Dave get a ENS visa. In the meantime we'll sit tight and see what the next few months bring on the old 176 non csl front! We too would take the offer, good luck in whatever you choose!:smile: debsx
