Thanks Lozzachino. Im all set up for alerts and I carry out regular searches however finding a part time role is not as easy as it looks. I just wondered if there were any opportunities here as you never know.

Thanks for the replies. I had a feeling that was the case. It's so frustrating as I want to work & I have worked and contributed!! But on the other hand I understand the legitimacy of having a PR Visa entitling you to benefits. It's through my partners work so hopefully it won't take too long however our caseworker was still asking for info right up until December. There is definitely a loophole in the system. When the LAFA ran out people ended up going back to the UK.

Hi there, I have been in Sydney on the Northern Beaches for nearly 5 yrs and have been out of work since having my daughter 16 months ago, however I have now secured childcare for 2 possibly 3 days a week and I am keen to get back into part time employment as soon as possible. I have experience in a variety of working environments including; Project Management (Student Digital Internship Program), Account Management (Advertising agencies) and Welfare to Work (Independent welfare company). Im finding it difficult to seek out agencies and websites that cater for this any type of part time work unless its in care or cleaning. If anyone knows of any good websites aside Gumtree please let me know! I am open to most opportunities and would welcome to hear about anything that you may have. Hey there, Ok im looking for some advice. We're just waiting for our PR to be processed, which could be months. Currently on 457, this is our 5th yr. My little one has just started daycare & im desperately trying to find work. Since LAFA stopped, daycare costs starting and being on one salary, money is getting tight. Does anyone know of any assistance we might be entitled to? I know its V limited on 457. I dont want to give up daycare as its a catch 22 situation no care, no work!! Plus im lucky to even get a place!!!! I have already called the family line and there is nothing. Im not sure what families are mean to do when you are stuck in this loop hole! Any advice, help is appreciated!
