Hi Ally

The Australian C.V / resume for the engineering industry is different to the U.K

Australian C.V

I do not agree with everything he claims but it may worth a look

Hi Ally

Given the current world economic situation it is more of a risk to move to Australia than it was 12 months ago.

I would certainly recommend that arrange a few weeks recci before you consider moving to Australia.

I would recommend you look on web sites

Electronics Engineering Jobs in Melbourne Metro

Hi Ally

In the U.K I have always been able to get job in my trade but in Australia it has been incredibly difficult.

Unfortunately the electronic / electrical engineering industry is very insular in Australia

So unless you are 100% exactly what the company wants you will find it very hard going.

The best Job agency I have found so far is

Engineering Jobs, Labour Hire, Technical Recruiters, Drafting Recruitment

I have not been able to get a permanent job in my trade in fact it has been an uphill struggle to get an even a temp casual job.

I am currently training for a job in IT.

Hi there,

I saw from one of the threads you work as a electronics tehnician. I also do this work in uk, I have my visa application sent waiting for answer.

I was wondering if you could give me any advice on where in oz is best to go to find a job in electronics. I was thinking of moving to melbourne if my visa is granted.

Any help is gratefully accepted

Regards

Ally
