  1. The queue date is in August 2011.Hopefully this year will be the last year waiting.
  2. Nothing has changed. The processing has been stuck on 30 June 2011 for more than 6 months.
  3. Bad news. The planning level for 'other family visa' in the 2013-14 year is only 585 places, which is a record low. Guys what can we expect? http://www.immi.gov.au/media/statistics/statistical-info/visa-grants/migrant.htm
  4. It appears that the queuing system is in chaoes. They haven't finished what they're supposed to be doing. Meanwhile they have announced new progress which is totally unfounded. Speechless.
  5. Hi west, sorry I misread your queue date as 30/11/2011. My impression was that the applications with queue dates up to 31/12/2010 were processed in November 2012, which means your sister's case should be finalised a few months ago. If you haven't received any notice from DIAC, you should give them a call to find out.
  6. Hi west, I guess they are still processing the applications with queue dates up to 30/6/2011 at this stage. It is unsure whether they will keep moving for the remainder of this financial year. In the worst case, if all the places are used up, DIAC may put a halt on the whole process and wait until the new places are available from 1/07/2013. My gut feeling is that your sister's case will be processed in the 2013/14 year, but nothing is for sure. Good luck.
  7. Congratulations Stokenewington, three years wait is no easy job. Could you please share your queue date as the DIAC website only discloses update up to 30/06/2011. All the best.
  8. Hi everyone, it seems like the DIAC has picked up a bit on 115 visa assessment. The new update is on http://www.immi.gov.au/migrants/family/other-family-visa-queue.htm Applications for Remaining Relative or Aged Dependent Relative visas with a queue date up to 28 February 2011 are now being considered for final processing. Further information for applications that have a queue date from 1 March 2011 will be published if any further releases occur during the 2012-13 year. It is currently estimated that lodged Remaining Relative and Aged Dependent Relative visa applications, that have not yet been assessed and queued, are likely to take up to 15 years to be released for final processing (calculated from15 November 2012).
  9. Ozzieland, you probably need to wait a bit while for the queue date. This will be issued to you in a letter which happens around 12 months from the date you received the acknowledgement letter.
  10. Thanks Dan for sharing your progress. My sister lodged her 115 application offshore in May 2010 and the queue date is 01/08/2011. Like you said there is no consistency in the way DIAC allocated a queue date. Anyway, congratulation on the final grant of your visa. Enjoy your future in Oz.
