  4. Hi david, same here we got our visa through my wife's quals, so I'm looking into collage when I'm over there but I will have to work to bring some sort of income in. I've been plumbing and heating engineer for around 18 years mainly domestic but have run a few site jobs witch I hate. I do not have my gas safe but know a bit about testing etc . I only have Nvq level two but years of experience . Moving to Oz has been one of my goals in life as I worked in nsw on a working hoilday visa some time ago. I may even change career as long as I can live get bye I'm happy to do any job. Do you have your visas ? I will keep you up dated as we are off to validate visa 19 July for 5 weeks but only 3 weeks in perth so this should give me time to hopefully go into a collage and get some more info on the subject . Hope it all goes well for you both you never know we may end up meeting up over there . Alll the best scott.
  5. Hi david, like your self I'm a plumber and my wife is a secondary teacher . We are moving over on Boxing Day to apple cross to stay with my brother inlaw. We are going out there in 5 weeks time to validate our visa and I'm hoping to gain a bit more info for the plumbing game . My wife Emma has been intouch with the teaching board and has had to send lots of things to them to become registered . Also we understand that there wil be supply work and hopefully this will get her foot in the door for a permanent job offer. Well good luck to you both if I find out any info ill post it on here. Reguards scott

  11. Hi all. is it possible to have your visa stamped into your passport before we come over in July. I know you have to pay for this but have heard that when looking for work and signing up with agents for work this saves a lot of time and less paper work ( 175 visa ). Many thanks scott.

  14. Hi my wife was in a wheelchair and will still have to use it on longer distances, she has just had a spinal cord implant for chronic pain relief . But it was our dream to move to oz so we went for it used an agent. My wife's meds was referred for a long time 3 months I think , with was quite nerve racking but the day after new years day we got our pr visa . I would say go for it even if it's going to cost you just short of £4000 for everything . Hope it all works out for you good luck. Scott
  15. Hi anna we used grist international, we was thinking the same as you about spending money and getting turn down for a visa as my wife was in a wheel chair we thought we would not get in due to this. My wife had spinal opp and a medtronic stimulated fitted in her back and the battery will need to be changed in 5 years time. Anyway we bit the bullet and went for it. Happy days we got the PR visa day after new years day . My wife is also on medication. Hope this helps a little good luck :0)
