i am in UK at moment and i lost my passport with my australian visa stamp in. so being English and in England i got a new passport. Is there a quick and easy way to get another australian visa stamp in my passport.

Hello, Firstly thanks for the response from my previous thread. What i am failing to find on the "DIAC" at the moment is what time i need to spend in Oz to maintain my full resedency. As due to family matters i may not be able to stay indefinately, but fully expect to return when i can.

I have just arrived in Oz sydney to be precise. i have forgotten what is expected of me regarding the immigration, am i supposed to inform somebody where i am? Also got word of a job, contract paying $40 per hour, no idea how much i will get net? Though i believe 9% is deducted at source then what else, as i am not sure it is worth working if my net is too little. I remember something about medicare so i will have to factor this in? :smile: suppose i should just be grateful.

Hello Just done some looking around the prices for a flight to christchuch NZ from Perth OZ the best quoted was 886 AUD (one way) . I suppose the flight to uk are now more expensive :frown:

Got a dilemma in as much as i have received my skilled 175 subclass visa for oz, and now i got a liking for new zealand after visiting Perth and not liking it. So is it possible to transfer it through a reciprocal agreement that these countries may have?

Never heard of vettasses? Is this an English qualification? All i know i am working through city and guilds level 3.

I just got my 175 visa passed TRA as an electrical technician. Before i received my visa (a week to be exact) i paid for a plumbing / gas fitter course. When i qualify i will be city and guilds level 3. How does this qualification rate in oz? Can i start working straight away as a plumber? Sorry this must have been asked before :embarrassed:
