At a guess, I'd say that it would take between fifteen and twenty minutes to commute between the two places - depending on the exact locations, of course. Warana and Wurtulla are closer to Kawana, than Buderim, but - in relative terms - are 'less desirable' areas. Buderim, as its residents will tell you, is *the* place to be on the Sunshine Coast.

This article, without even considering the ridiculous hyperbolic statements, simply highlights one of the pitfalls of labelling something "Australian" when it really isn't!

When our eldest daughter was about six months old, we were threatened - by our site manager - with being 'thrown out' of our rental property for..."installing an air conditioner" in 'window' of her room. He proclaimed that it was an "eyesore". I expressed my disgust that 'cosmetics' were being prioritised over her health. He said the rule still stood. Eventually, the landlord of our particular townhouse agreed to install ducted air conditioning. I came to realise that appearances are very important to those, and I repeat myself, 'easy going' Aussies. It was 'the middle of summer', by the way.

Despite your viewpoint - I suggest that the presence of the 'kind of activities', that need policing, don't make the place less boring for the 'common man'.

Three of my family members have (or do) attended Siena. They rate it highly. The Principal of Stella Maris, Glenda Morgan, is (allegedly) an inspirational 'Headteacher'.

Before anyone suggests that I am being unconstructive, I am being honest rather than 'sugarcoating' the situation.

The Sunshine Coast, as you have realised, is an extremely boring place. It's unfortunate that you are going 'stir crazy' at this (early) stage. Unless you move, it's likely to become even worse. So there's the advice - move!
