  3. Am currently on an 856 sponsored visa. We have a 2 year old daughter who isn't on the visa (she was born in Aus). Does anyone know what the process is to add her on the visa?

  9. Hi Advice would be helpful. friend's of mine have a daughter who was born in Oz. dad is irish and mother has a british passport (born in france to a british mother and french father) are the parents able to apply for a british passport? Cheers Graham
  10. Hi I received my letter from immigration on 9th December to say that the employer has completed their section of the visa. I now have 6 months before it becomes invalid After a few small issues I will be submitting my part at the end of March (awaiting for medical results) My question is about the 6 month employer section. Due to my lateness of submitting my part will my visa potential not being passed because I have only left 2 months of the employer part Also, My daughter is only 2 years old and we don't have a passport for her, will this affect the visa? Any ideas Graham

  12. Hi I am applying for an 856 visa - Employer part has been okayed by immi - now have 6/12 to put my part in. What do i need to do for the skills assessment? Both my wife & I are registered nurses - we have worked in Oz for the past 3 years. Do I need to do some sort of test or do I just contact APHRA for a letter etc? Also, we have not left Oz since we came here on a 457 visa in Nov 2007 - do we still need to get a police check from the uk? Hope someone can help.

  16. Hi. We have been on a 457 for 3 years. We get reciprocal medicare. Don't have private health insurance. Just pay for GP care, then get some reimbursement from medicare
  17. Hi I am in the process of applying for an 856 visa. I have been in Oz for nearly 3 years on a 457 visa. Do I need to get a fresh police check from the UK or will the one I submitted for the 457 be sufficient? Thanks Graham

Hi Was planning to apply for a sponsored employer permanent visa, however, have decide against this due to difficulties with my current 457 visa and work What is the waiting time for visa approval at this current time. We will be applying for our visa whilst in Australia. i think is it the 175? Any ideas on visas Graham
