Thanx tink - but it is a lovely spot (in spite of the tricky nature of the vantage point!) most folk can enjoy this view with a little bit of tenacity! Unlike many of Tassie's premier vistas where you need fitness & a sturdy constitution in order to appreciate, which accounts for why I'll probably never be able to post photos of those amazing locations... :( !! :) -
Nah, def not willow; I believe it's a variegated elm, at first I suspected it was a wedding cake dogwood, but I can't say I recall having seen it festooned with beautiful flowers in the spring but there are several variegated elms around here, including a fine example in the botanical gardens - & yes, I am trying to get one or 2 for our place. I checked with my local nursery & they don't have the dogwood (once I decided I must have 1!) now I'll have to see if they have the elms or try for some cuttings... They certainly make a lovely specimen tree... I Love trees, just wish our land was kinder! :) I'll post some pics of the fine willows we have around here :) -
Thank you & thanks for saying so - glad you enjoy them! Wish it were easier to upload - I don't think they make it very easy... :) -
