No, believe its 12 months over an 18 month period but then he would not be allowed back in for another 6 months. So he could come and go as many times as he likes over the 18 month period but only up to what would total 12 months overall.

I am in Australia at the moment on a tourist visa but and have been told I should hear from a case officer for my 173 application shortly. I shall have to leave the country for the 173 visa to be granted but does anyone know how much notice I will have to leave the country and also once left the country how long it usually takes to be processed. It would really help if I could book a return flight rather than having to pay for two single flights. Any info would be appreciated.
