sending the form back wont cause any problems also you are required to update them if you change passports so that it is in their system when you go through passport control. Visa labels are not used any more as it it is all electronic now but if you want one you have to pay for it.

We filled in this form supplied a certified copy of our new passports and sent it back http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/929.pdf and they updated it in their system. You can check here that it has been done http://www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/vevo.htm our visa was done in Canada so we sent the form back there to be update and had no problems.

Best you look here and do the wizard if you have not yet. It Should give a idea on what you need to do. Also as a motor mechanic if you can get a Skilled - Independent (subclass 189) visa(PR) you will be able to get a job just about anywhere so do not need to tie yourself to one employer. http://www.immi.gov.au/visawizard/

I think the answer is no unless you are a Australian Citizen. This is taken from their website To be considered for a job in Customs and Border Protection you must be an Australian citizen. If you are not an Australian citizen, but are eligible for citizenship, your application may be considered. You are encouraged to begin your application for citizenship if you are considering a position in Customs and Border Protection. http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page4250.asp

Does anyone have information on what help is available for a child with Dyslexia in oz schools both public and private, I am looking for detailed information rather than just that a school has a learning support unit. I have been searching the internet and expat forums but when this question is asked there seems to be no answers or the answer is to general and not on the topic, I am sure there are a lot of parents with kids that would like to know. So if there are any teachers or learning support teachers that can give a clear and detailed answer please help as our move to Australia depends on whether we can find the help my son needs to succeed or not. Thanks Knsc
