  1. @pompom15 I know what you mean. We're also in limbo, I'm an Aus citizen and my partner and I met when he was on a working visa, after having the first onshore visa refused we've now applied for the offshore one while staying in the UK for a few months. Now back in Aus for the wait(he's on a tourist visa). Looking forward to getting on with our lives and not being in limbo. Its easy to say not to hope for it to be approved sooner than the 10-14 months but makes it hard when you do see so many people getting it earlier. Well fingers crossed this will be our month!
  2. Afternoon everyone! When we first applied for our (second) partner visa we spent a lot of time on the forum and remember reading about a couple of people that had sent their CO an email on the 10 month mark inquiring about status and they had then received their visa a week or so later. We are thinking about doing the same as we reach our 10 month mark on Saturday. Just wondering if anyone here has tried something similar and what the outcome was before we send an email off. Wishing there was some rhyme or reason to the approvals, so hard to watch people get theirs after 4, 5 or 6 months. My thoughts go out to our fellow longer wait couples and families. Applied: 30/06/2015 CO: DP
  3. Has there been no grants this week? I knew the 7 month mark wouldn't last, just my luck We applied the day after you, still waiting waiting too. Starting to get impatient now!
  4. I don't come on here very often as the whole process has worn me out, but it's so nice to see so many grants coming through. We're on our second visa application now as our first was refused, fingers crossed it's soon, just want to stop living life in limbo. Congratulations to everyone who has received their visas recently! Second 309 applied - 30/06/2015 Waiting, waiting.....
  5. Hi everyone, after weeks of stalking this forum I thought I'd finally sign up and put a few questions out there before I go insane. My fiancé and I met in Perth in 2013, applied for our first visa in Perth in July 2014 and in May 2015 got our refusal letter, unfortunately as we didn't join lease till a few months in they deemed us not in the de facto relationship for a full year before lodgement. As he then legally had to leave the country we sold everything so we could afford the visa again and went back to England where we then stayed with his family while lodged an offshore visa. We lodged on the 30th of June (just before the price increase) but as of yet have not been assigned a CO. I'm dying to receive that email as currently I'm back in Perth (so I can be with my son) while he is stuck back in England. We're contemplating him coming back over on a tourist visa while we wait it out, obviously he won't be able to work but at least we'll be together, but from what I've read it looks like we need to advise a CO with travel plans (obviously has to be offshore when it's granted). Just wondering how long it took for everyone to get assigned a CO? I wont cope the quoted 10-14 months apart. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Congratulations to everyone receiving theirs! It's so good to see.
