Im kara, 15, female, i live in the catchment area of the CBD in Brisbane

I am friendly, happy, fun, Jolly, outgoing.

Have a passion for MUSIC ! and i love to shop, go to the piceys, bowling, hang at the beach (oh get a tan and off cource check out the HOT GUYS !)

i come from the North West of England

Been over here for almost 3 years (where does time go !)

and im looking to help people out who have any issues or concerns about moving to Australia.. I have been to Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Perth (pritty much tried living in those areas) .

I have a bit of experience with living over here, and i know what it is like to move over here leave family and close friends behind (ITS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

But its awsum over here and Brissy has so much to offer ! Beaches, surfing, CBD, Hot guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it pritty much has the works except for family.

I'm Kayleigh and i'm originally from Brisbane but only moved back here after 6 years in the UK nearly 4 months ago.
I'm 14, 15 in December, which is probably the worst thing about over here, i'm younger than basically everyone else over here!
I live in Ferny Grove and also go the high school there (in grade 10)
I'd been living on the Isle of Wight in the UK - glad to be away from that place even if it does have good memories.
You're right lots on offer in Brisbane. Loads of shops to find strange things in and plenty of hot guys!
I've also found that people love the fact you have a British accent and get you to say loads of words just because you say things differently.
So yeah that's my life story (in short)

im hollie im 16.
and im moving over to brisban..queensland in less than a year.
never been to austrailia in my life so god nos what to expect.
going to mad leaving my friends and family..itll be horible.
then when i go over i wont no enyone, and i dont go to school havnt been for over a year now.
so dont have a clue how am goin to meet people.
im from scotland. and people my age all they do at nights is get drunk. and jeese im fed up of that now. what do people my age do over their? :S.

Nice to hear from you Holliee,
Brisbane is what i call home ! It has everything to offer.. like really blue sea beaches, a really modern and clean city, it even has a man made swimming pool in the city (southbank, which is a place which has like a little board walk, and its opposite the river to the city), Brisbane also has the biggest theme parks in the world, Dreamworld, White water world, movie world, sea world and more !
not the place for everyone because of the heat i mean it does get hot in the summer but you get used to it im lovin it now being able to just go outside in the sun with a little top on and mini shorts ! Im lovin it !
So since you have left school, do you go to uni, college or do you have a job ?
Im sure you will be fine meeting people over here, p.s the aussies will dig your accent !
not influenced as much over here to get drunk, have drugs or out lke that, there more into going to the beach, getting a tan and checking out the hot guys surfing, also there really upfront over here so you might get a few hugs ! - which is really cute. They love shopping girls too.

if i dont rely back its because i am going away tomorrow (as its school holiday here and were going to a beach up north oh also Australia is HUGE ! it is so different in each city ! - ok ill give you a little info lol - Brisbane = beaches, clean, very modern, sports and weather.
Sydney = Busy !, Business, shopping
Melbourne= Business, BIG city, VERY busy.
Canberra = very quite, small and interesting actually reminds me of England !
Perth = Beaches, weather, modern city, sports
the only places i have not been in Adelaide and Darwain = place i want to explore.

Hey (again)
I'm finding Brisbane to be good. Quite warm though. I've settled in quite well as i had some friends to go back to and went basically straight back into school. Made some pretty awesome friends as well.
Not been up to much in the holidays. Been up to Bribie Island twice but otherwise basically nothing.
Don't have that many hobbies. I like to play beach volleyball, listen to a lot of music, like to go shopping but need to get a job to actually buy half the things i see....
I can be quite quiet when i first meet someone new but then i start to relax and i just start talking about loads of random stuff!
Don't really watch Australian Idol or any other reality tv. Not sure why i just never get into the habit of it.
So yeah that's the other bit of my life story!

glad you have found some new friends, and have setled back down with your old friends too !
I have been down to New South Wales, and we even went in the car ! (p.s long drive !) I went to the beach, shopping and had loads of fun =)
So do you like Bribie then.. I have been there a couple of times with me family, my fave beaches must be on the gold coast and sunshine coast =) nice blue sea
im not soo much the sporty type although i like Footy, swimming, netabll and Tenis (i think thats about it lol)
so are you into theme parks (p.s i love Dreamworld, i went on all the rides) and Wet 'n' wild is a blast ! i love me frills lol.
