Just returned from travelling around SE Asia, Oz and New Zealand. Spent a month in Sydney and loved the place and also met a girl over there but thats not the reason i'm going back. I just really love Sydney. I'm just looking for advice on how easy it is to get a visa, tax files, bank account, medicare card etc.
My plan is to go there and just get a job in a supermarket doing basic work which i've done for the past 4 years while at universty. I'll stay in a hostel for a few months but i'll also look for another job at the same time, maybe office work or something like that. Could someone tell me how easy it will be to get a job in a supermarket, what are the prices to rent a one bed apartment outside the city, will my degree in TV production come in handy i.e. will i be able to get a job in the media in australia or is that not possible for someone who is on a holiday working visa, are we only allowed to get certain jobs.
Hi Matt have you had a lookie at www.immi.gov.au sure you will find lots of answers there, re tfn,back account,medicare etc thats the easy part & most can be done online good luck stuju
