I can understand how you feel, it's a huge thing to do, but then again it's very exciting too. My Daughter was a similar age to you when we came here, she made heaps of friends in school straightaway and played loads of sports.
You can still do exams over here in Oz school only they are called HSC's you will have heard them mentioned on Home and Away and Neighbours.
It's hard to leave your friends in UK but you can still keep in touch with them all on the internet.
Hope you feel a lot better soon, and there are a lot of young ones feeling the same as you on here, so they will pop and and you can have a chat with them too, some of them have already come over.
Oh Beckiii, I have a 12 year old daughter just like you, most of the time she say she doesn't want to go, and that she will miss her friends, and yes she will, but she will make new ones, and I'm sure you will also. You don't have to loose contact with them, no doubt you have msm and the such, and given time your best friend will be over to visit you and have a holiday (when older, of course)
It's hard for your parents also, we are only trying our best for all our children.
If you would like to have a chat with Emma just pm me.
Good luck Beckiii.

We are in Leeds too with a 12 yr old son, if you want tio chat to him his PIO username is Mophead. He's not in at the moment but when he comes back I'll ask him to contact you (if you like).
It must be hard not being able to tell your friends. But I can understand your mum and dad will want to be certain everything is okay first, or you'd just have to go round telling lots of people that you weren't going after all, and that would be a right pain!!
At least you can chat to the other kids on here and because they know what you're going through, they can sympathise and offer you support when you need it.
And to be honest with you...I'm a bit scared too!
Lots of love

Haha, bless you.
Setting up your poor son over the internet.
Theone thing I'll miss when we go is Leeds, not the city though as I live in Bradford and got lost in Leeds the other day
Beckiii don't worry you'll keep in touch with your old and make new friends, you can carry on with your studies over there (that's what I'm doing) you'd regret not going, much nicer climate, much nicer society, less crime and more oppurtunity.
Hiya Beckii, We went to Australia for a holiday and my 2 boys loved it there and cant wait to move there. Luke is 16 and Jordan is 14, they will both go back to school in Australia as our GCSE's dont count for anything out there.
My niece moved to Australia when she was your age and loves it there, and yet she clung to my bathroom door they do they left because she didnt want to go. After school she meets her friends at the pool and has a great time.
Luke has a log in on here of Taipan (snake thingy , think thats how you spell it lol), look him up and send him a pm. I'm sure he will chat to you on msn.
My daughter is 13 and loves it here in Perth. She was 11 when we arrived. Initially she didn't want to come over because of leaving her friends who she'd known since Reception. She has stayed in touch with all the friends who are important to here and one of them is even trying to save up to come and visit. I can't say you won't miss your friends because you do, but you do make new ones and keep the old ones too. Talk to your mum and dad, you may find they're pooing themselves too thinking about the move.

Hi Becky, something similar happened to me too - a long time ago though. Ended up in Perth, and absolutely loved it. Friends are easily made- the trick is keeping the friends you make! Outdoors life was amazing, I joined a surf life saving club, got my bronze, and spent all my time surfing and hanging out with friends. Saved a few people too. Now we have skype - I never use Windows .... get a Macbook laptop and you are in contact with friends all over the world using wireless from a cafe. You will love it, once you get over the changes.

hi becky, my son is 15 and he didnt really want to come to oz, but do you know what? he loves it here, hes made loads of mates, he loves his sport too, so has joined the local football teams, and they love netball here, so you will be fine for that!
but my son loves it here and now wishes we had done it sooner, also he has got msn so he can chat to his friends in the uk!
but you will soon make loads of friends, and you will love it here honestly you will!
keep your chin up!!
