Talking Bribie Island-Here We Come!

Hi to all my 'Poms In Oz' friends. Sorry I haven't spoken to any of you lately but I haven't been on here for a while. Just wanted to let you know that me and my family are going to Australia for a holiday in August. We are going to Bribie Island and I'm sooo excited! We weren't going to have a holiday this year,we were supposed to save all of our money until we actually move to Australia but because we haven't sold our house yet my Mum and Dad have decided that we had better go and activate our visas now just incase. HOORAY!!!

We are staying at a house which is right next to the canal with its own pontoon-Dad said we might hire a boat! We might, apparantly, see dolphins and dugongs swimming in the canal! The house sound great and I can't wait to go!

I was wondering if anyone else has been to Bribie Island and if so is it nice there?

From Megan xxx

Hi, i take my girls Kerenza(10) & Olivia(7) there a lot as we stay in Redcliife and they think it is great there. The humpback whales are also in Moreton Bay area at this time of year so you may see them if you are out in a boat.

Hiya mini rada

Been to Bribe Island for a day, we hired a boat and went fishing, never caught anything though, we looked for the dolphins, but did not see any (gutted) but never mind.

My friends daughter has just gone for 2 weeks last Saturday as her friend has just moved there. will let you know how she gets on.

Hi Megan

You'll love it!! Some friends of ours are lucky enough to live there and they are always busy, it's really beautiful too.

Have a fantastic time!!

Hey all,
Thanks for all of your replies, it really does sound like we are gonna have a great time! Mum and Dad say that if we like it we might move there for real but it depends what work is about for my Dad. Has anyone else got anything to say about Bribie cause I'd love to know?

From Megan

P.S
My Dad wants to know what fish is he likely to catch in late August?
