What do teenagers do for fun in Australia?

Might be moving 'down under' and I just want to know what teenagers do for fun.
I will be 15 when we go and will probably go to Perth. I'm from huddersfield,a pretty big town so am used to having lots to do. I would like to get into surfing but am pretty useless at most sports.
How long are the holidays?
what exams do you do?
I'm starting my GSCE's now,in England.
Will i fit into school and when does school start and finish?
I know it's a lot of questions but any answers would be a help!
help please !!!
harriet.

Hey Harriet!!
I too, am moving to aus next year& will be 15 at the time! My mum and I have been doing alot if re-search in the 'schooling' area! And Although im moving to Brisbane i think the schooling is still the same throughout the whole of Australia

We we're originally going to move to australia AFTER my GCSE's but we found out that GCSE's arnt recognised in Aus! BUT in Australia they still do the 2 year corse (Like english year 10 & 11) but they study for something different thats pretty much like GCSE's.

Anothing thing.. In Great Britain we start school in September, however in Australia they start school in the following FEBRUARY! (Dead confusing!)

I've kinda rambelled on abit - but yeah, if you wanna know anything else dont hesitate to personal message me
or just to chat about general australia neves and things :D

the holidays are longer over here than back home my friends at school he only went back to school to weeks ago after a 3 week break and they breack up again in two weeks for another 3 weeks lol
basically if u want to find people to hang out with quickly go to a skate park there always loads of people in there all the time
