Do our mobiles work over in Oz?

if not could you take the sim out and replace it with a Australian sim?

We went to Oz in Feb on our reccie, OH took his mobile and got a very good deal with an Ozzie one.

OH just said I should let you know that you need to have your phone unlocked here first. He was on Vodafone. Hope this helps

make sure your phone is unlocked first and then you can just change the sim card - this is what we did for our daughter

Hi Natalie

I am with 02 and asked the same question.
I was told that once in Oz, go to whomever I want a contract with then sign up, ring 02 and ask for a PAC code which unlocks my phone then get a new sim card put in by new supplier in OZ.
I can also keep my mobile number which will be very useful as I have internet business and customers know my number so wont need to change that at all.

It NOT illegal to unlock your phone, my OH rang Vodafone and got the eleven digit number to unlock it. The phone is your property and it is free to have it unlocked from your network. Then we just took it to Ozzie and got a Vodafone sim card there. But you can get any network once it is unlocked - that's the whole point of unlocking it.
