Hi there, just saw your thread, i've not been on here for a while as we have had soooo much to do after arriving 2nd July this year. At this time in your life should you love Australia but your Mum want to go back to the UK, you have the option of doing an apprenticeship for a wanted trade here, but i'm sure you will all love it here. What's no to love.....Sun, Sea & Surf...oh and for a teenager there is anyways the Surf Clubs ( weekends for anyone under 40, in the week normally the older locals ) also the skate parks....depends on what you are in to. Where are you moving to?, we are on Brisbane's Sunshine Coast. If you need a friend when you get here i have a 17 ( 18 in 3 weeks ) year old daughter. Also have you explained to your Mum the reasons for not wanting to move again....that you are feed up of moving around?. This was the issue with my daughter, she didn't want to come over at all but she still did in the end ( to give it a go ), it was all because of moving around in her younger years from house to house, school to school...she hates change. However she seems to like it already and we've only been here 4 weeks. :o)

Hey :) my names Holly and im 17 and im moving to Perth next summer when I'll be 18 after my a-levels. When my family first mentioned it I was sooo against it, im still not 100% sure but I know it'll be better for my family and we can have a much nicer house and stuff. I didn't want to go, cos I thought I could just go to Uni here so I wouldn't live with them anyways, but I realised that I didn't wanna leave them - also what would I do for christmas andholidays at Uni ! Id have no family lol.
Im also worried cos we move in the summer, and Uni starts in January sometime so there's a whole 6 months of nothing! But I see it as a sort of adventure thing so maybe it'll be great, who knows :) message me if you wanna chat some more, I never see posts from 17 year olds on here lol (:
After I finished my A-levels I went to uni in the UK, but I dropped out which was partly due to the realisation of being without the parents which even at my age still seems difficult to comprehend.
I go to uni in Perth, it's not all bad, plus I realise that once I've finished my 3 years I'll be in a position where I can decide whether to stay or go back home, as i'll be able to be in a better financial position.
