Hi Quianna.
I can promise you that you WILL make new friends. My eldest has been in 7 schools in 3 coutnries in her life..and she has always made new friends. And yes, she is still in touch with some of her old friends too.
I know it is really hard and it is a big change, but i bet once you are there you will LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!

Hi,

You'll probably make friends much more quickly than your mum and dad - it's so much easier when you're at school. My daughter is 13 now and loves it here, she says that she wasn't the new girl for very long as there were people arriving from all over the world all the time.

She still keeps in touch with the friends who were important to her by letter, msn, emails etc., but also has her own group of friends here too. I think you'll love it.

We are moving to Brisbane in September, and there are lot's of other people on this site moving there too, so you'll be able to make friends when we have a meet up over there! Lot's of people move to Oz every day, so I am sure you'll make lot's of new friends along the way.

My son Bradley is 12 and will miss his mates, but knows he will keep in touch with them.
