Just to let you know that we moved here, Queensland 7 months ago and We have 3 Children Son 12 Daughters 9 and 5 and all we worried about comming and leaving their friends behind. Well once we boarded the plane it then became a big adventure, they were worried when they started school, but were made to feel so welcome straight away and by the end of the first week had made good friends. 7 months on they love it here have loads of friends and have a great life doing great things.
You will find that the Australian children are alot more open and not so reserved as us Brits and therefore will talk to you and want to hang out. You will also find that if you head for a coast line, alot of people will be from somewhere else, England Scotland etc or even from other parts of Australia so you won't be the only new girl on the block!!
I know how worried you must be as my children went through it all aswell, but just try not to worry and think of all the good things you can look forward to.
Good luck to you and your family
Yvonne
