My daughter was slightly younger when we arrived, but was able to make friends quickly at school. I think that's the key - when you start school here, you start establishing your network of friends and you'll find there's loads to do

Lucie,

Alex said that she's never been singled out as being English and people have just been pleasant. She's developed her own group of friends like she did in the UK. Some work she found easy whilst other work was new to her. I'm sure you'll love it here

Hey lucie
I have recently moved here....about a month ago and When i started school i felt really sick.But now i have lots of friends.I've even been invited to a girls pool party even though i barely know her.I've only been at my school for 3 weeks and i already feel like i've fitted in just fine.

Where abouts are you moving to in Perth.At the moment i'm living in Ocean Reef in Joondalup.But soon were moving to Kinross, just to rent.

hey lucie sian here, im 15, 16 in april.

im movin out to perth this summer, and i cant wait. sounds like you've gt the same thoughts as me, i cnt wait to go but at the back of my mind i cant help but thinking "what if i dont make friends?".

i have quite a big tight network of friends here, and i know we'd all be going to college but still, im going to miss them so much and i think ill miss the fact that they're there. but bebo etc will keep me in contact with m closer friends...so all is not lost.

how have your friends taken you moving??
