Younger OnesA forum especially for teenagers and the younger ones making the big move down under. Its here to discuss all things with migrating and living in Australia.
My Names Ella, Im 7 and my Sister Taylor is 4.
We both left School today and although Taylor doesnt really understand what is going on I feel really upset and worried that I wont make any new friends.
My Dad has been offered a job in Townsville
We move out of our house on Froday 15th Feb and Im sad about that too.
We expect to move to Australia in 3 weeks
I would like to meet new friends and I know there are kids my age who have experienced these feelings and would like some support.
I like Animals, Chocolate, Dogs, Spice Girls Music and having lots of fun.
Bye for now

Please don't be sad. I know you can't see it now, because you are a bit scared of the unknown, but you are going to have a fab new life. You will make lots of new friends in no time. We are moving to Perth in a few weeks and my 6yr is really excited. My 10 year however is really not looking forward to it. We wouldn't be doing this if I really thought it wouldn't give them a better future, and thats what your mum and dad are trying to do. I know once we get to OZ and he gets to go to the beach and have great a lifestyle he will forget all his worries. You will too you will make lots of new friends. Especially as for a 7 year old you sound like a very sensible girl.
Good luck with your move and try not to be scared your family will all settle and make new friends. I love chocolate too just finishing my cadbury's cream egg!!
Thanks for KP and the Wattons

Hi Chris n Nat, are you still going to be in the UK on the 9th March, if so come and join us at The Halfway House on the A127, didn't realise you were in the Essex area, in fact just up the road to us.
If your not, good luck and hope Ella is ok.

Both my children felt a bit sad when they left school, especially my son who was 7 at the time. His class had made him a terrific card with messages and photo's and it made us all cry. But do you know, he loves school here in Australia and thinks it's great. He's made lots of new friends and hasn't lost his old ones because he still keeps in touch with them, and for the first year he used to send emails to his teacher who would read them out to the class and then the class would send him an email too telling them all their news. Maybe your dad could organise this with your old teacher?
