Please don't worry too much about living in Australia.I have 2 children aged 13 & 8 and like you they are a little nervous about leaving their school and friends but they are also excited too. We've been over to Perth twice now and believe me it is so lovely. Just think how cool it will be to be able to go to the beach whenever you want. The wildlife is amazing (kangaroos are very odd) and there will be so much for you to see and do. As for the spiders well I wouldn't worry too much as I don't think you see them that often and you'll be having too much fun to worry about them anyway! Hope all the replies on here have made you feel a bit better about moving and I'm sure your mum and dad are only doing it 'cause it'll be better for you and your family.

hi ffion im 11 years old and im moving to australia to it hasnt really sunk into me that well lmao erm i just started secondry school ermwere abouts r u moving and i was just reading some of ur posts and i thought ur just lyk me i were ugg boots with everything and my mum has threatnd me to put them in the bin she keeps sayin u wont need them over there its soo anoyin lol and if u have msn plz can i have ur addy xx nicole

i'm hannah and im 12 also.
i've been living in australia for just over a year now and the people here are so friendly!!!
I havent got bullied which is surprising coz im pretty smart so some people might consider me a ners=d but the people here dont mind as long as you are kind towards them. You might come across a not-so-friendly person but you'll spot who those are so you know who to avoid ! i was like yo ui hated australia after my parents told me we were moving but now i've really warmed up to it!!!

Hiya Nicole, Hey you Mum can't possibly throw them Ugg boots out, isn't Australia where they come from anyway?

hi girls,
im new to this site so i dont really now how it works!
my name is jess and im 12 years old!
i am a bit worried about the spiders,i am really scared of them!

me,my mum,dad and younger brother are thinking of moving to Wollongong,but we are not sure yet.We have aplied for the visa,we just have to wait and see!

im also worried about the medecals and not getting on well at school,

Do you now how many needals you have to have or anything else that has to be don!

i was worryed about that stuff to but my mum and dad said there is stuff that keeps away the spiders.

for the medecals i did not have to have any neddels so i dont think you will cas you is 12 like me

me and my family are moving on the 29 of this month and i am think of it a an advencher.

i will miss my family and friends i will think of them all the time.

we are moving to the sunshine coast.

i when to oz with my dad in march and when to the goldcoast then the sunshine coast and brisbin senter.

oz is a very nice place is you are like me i want to get a tan and show on that i am english.

every one is telling that love our acsent (i dont know haw to spell it)

I might be moving to outside brisbane,but i am so worried about leaving my life behind and starting again.My family and friends are so close to me i dont want to leave them

My name is Ellie. I am also moving to aus and i am 13 years old and am in yr 8. I am really excited about going to aus. Sometimes I think I will miss my friends in England but you will be able to stay in touch over Msn and e-mails, etc.

Everybody who I have spoke to on poms in oz have said how easy you can make friends and how nice everybody is. They all say they really love the schools. You will have a great time out there, even though you may miss your friends for a while you will make just as good frineds in aus.
