Moving to Perth at end March

Hello
It took just 4 weeks for our 457 visa to be granted and we now have flights booked to Perth on 26th March. Whilst it has been in the pipeline for a while things are now happening very quickly.
We are in our mid 40's and have a 10 year old son. We have been living in Abu Dhabi for the last year so are already acclimatised to warmer weather. We are considering Mindarie or Ocean Reef but until we get there and have a proper look around we are not sure where we will end up. It would be great to make some contacts before we come over to meet during our first few weeks to tap up for advice over a pint or two! We are also interested in finding a cub pack for our son and myself as a cub leader so any recommendations gladly received.

Looks like you will get there a matter of weeks before us. We are just waiting for the 457 to come through (based on your 4 weeks we should have it next week, although I was estimating another couple..) so we aim to be there mid April

Would be good to touch base when we arrive, all newbies together eh :-)

I will secnd the ocean reef & mindarie advice, most of the beach suburbs in that area are fine, Iluka and connaly are also great suburbs , A bit more expensive though.
