Nursing Agencies in Perth

Hi there,
I am a nurse, working in adult and paediatric ICU for 5 years.
We are moving to Perth next year sometime, and will be based NOR in Yanchep.
As I have spent the whole of my career working Christmas and public holidays I am planning to change this, I also have children now so have the school holidays to sort out.
So....my plan is to work agency nursing so I can pick and choose my working hours. I would ideally want work in ICU but am flexible.
Can anyone out there give me some names of good agencies and rates of pay, also if hospitals use agencies regularly. I worked in Brisbane for a couple of years and they used alot of agency, is it the same in Perth?
Also, I do work for ECMO team in Leicester, do you do ECMO in Perth? If so, where?

I can only speak from a Mental Health perspective and we used to use a lot of agency staff at the hospital I worked at, now it is very few because of the cost, so people who had worked regularly for the hospital were instead offered short term contracts. I don't know how this has effected the general side of nursing. We tend to use Nurse West. You may want to consider how much travelling you may have to do e.g. they may offer you a job working south of the river with over an hours travelling time, WA is quite vast.

Google nursing agencies in Perth Western Australia - there's bound to be a few more, but I can't think of them off the top of my head sorry.

As Ali says in hospirals they have cut agency work down to the bare ninimum , eco cuts , as for travelling main hospitals rph ,charlies , hollywood are about about 45 mins drive any sor add time on , as i`m informed most agency work is last minute stuff sickness etc

We use Nurse West too and as YP says it's often very short notice work and you can get sent anywhere.

You should be able to secure a job in ICU though most of the jobs on offer just now seem to be ICU, you could apply for a hospitals nurse pool for more flexibility-try Joondalup Health Campus to start with and have a look on SEEK
