      Hi Stevie

Perth is a very big place geographically therefore the semi rural and full on rural areas are too numerous to mention in any detail. Are you able to give some better criteria on what you are looking for and what your needs are - examples

Need access to health care due to age/having kids
      Need a high school
Do/do not need to access Perth for work

Then we may all be able to pinpoint a more focused list for you.

      Cheers

      Hi julia,
Places like bulls brook ? that sort of distance, we have 2 boys 15 and 12 so need schools . but that sort of distance ,south of river or north . I want to look at some on realestate .au so it would be nice to know where certain areas are. Semi rural with a bit of ground would be nice. We liked bulls brook when we were over what do you know of it? Any info would be great thanks again stevie

Carramar has a rural section just the back of the golf course. It is 10 minutes from Joondalup, 5 minutes from Wanneroo. There is a new shopping centre 3 minutes away, schools are 5 minutes away.

3 acres with a decent house will set you back around $1.2M. 5 acres with a decent house goes for around the $1.6M mark upwards.

10 minutes north of Carramar is Nowergup, 5 acres with a decent house in that area goes for around the $1.5M mark.

Further north is Carrabooda, all 5 acre blocks with houses on now and they attract offers around the $1.2M mark.

Just off Wanneroo Road opposite Elliot Road is a semi-rural estate called Timberlands. They are all one acre blocks built on and dependant on the size of the house, prices range from $1.0M to $1.75M

Out the back of Wanneroo there are rural blocks of various size in Mariginiup which go for around $1.5M for 5 acres with a decent house. Wanneroo itself has pockets of rural areas, all within 15 minutes of the Wanneroo Township with schools, shops, banks, doctors close by. On average for a 5 acre block with house you can expect to pay $1.2M upwards.

25 minutes inland from Carramar lies Chittering, we bought a 10 acre bush block there 2 years ago for $300K. Sad nes (for us anyway) it's now only worth around $260-$270K. I was hoping rural prices around theat area were going to skyrocket.......... but it didn't happen.

Rural blocks around Bullsbrook with a decent house on them come on the market fairly often around the $750K mark upwards. Bullsbrook has a few things going for it in a little village sort of a way, the Pearce air base is there, there are plenty of small shops. At most, down Neaves Road it takes about 20 minutes from Bullsbrook to Carramar - Wanneroo area.

Hope this info is of use to you.

      Regards

      Johnno
