Hi, don't know much about this area but it's about 22 - 24km from Perth City. it's in the city of Swan. Don't know what the schools are like, but you could google them as they may have websites:
Ellenbrook Primary - state
Coolamon Primary - state
St Helena's catholic Primary - private
Ellenbrook Christian College - private high school
Bullsbrook district high school - state - pre primary - Yr 12

it is about 30 mins to the beach & gets very hot in summer as there is no sea breeze to cool you. I have been told that there has been a lot of houseing been allocated for aboridgionies ( spelling wrong) so pick your area carfully.

We cruised through this area because we had time on our hands before catching our plane and because someone at work used to live in Ellenbrook. It is really pretty out there in the Swan Valley - lots of wineries, greenery and wildlife. At dusk the cockatoos and galahs make a huge racket. Ellenbrook looked pretty, nicely laid out etc with a lake in the middle but it is in a valley so you aren't close to a beach and you don't have views for miles. If that doesn't worry you I think it would be a lovely place to go home to each night. Don't know about the schools sorry.

Hi
I was just sayin about the aboriginal element dont think thats an issue Perth metro is a mix of zoning districts you get residential zones commercial zones industrial etc every suberb (I prob be corrected ) but they all have parklands and most areas of bushland . Perth is situated between the hills and the sea thats why its hard to get lost if you are in hte hills or at the ocean you are going the wrong way lol. Seriously you are never 40 mins from the ocean. Semi rural you can look at Gooseberry hill in the hills but you are talking mega bucks also next to the ocean. I found it different to the uk ( we had never been to Oz ) The uk is like a microcosm compared to oz . Its good here lifes good apartnfrom the beer lol. But its the same work , and same stuff , theres no difference bills , govt crap ( you get double here state and federal ) but as a wise old bloke once said you have to give the ball a kick or you will never score a goal. Therres a song from the 80`s or 90`s cant remember (age I think) and thats "lifes what you make it" go on make it.
