northernbird is an unknown quantity at this point
I have short hair and wax legs and under arms so no shaving. I can wash hair and body and be out in 3 minutes so it can be done. I shower every day so I am not really dirty so don't need a long soak.

I never have a problem with a 4 minute shower. It's the kids that you have to nag. They would stay in for 20 minutes if we let them. My stepdaughter used to stand with the shower head in her mouth and sing!!!. Mind you she was only eight years old at the time

kiwi is on a distinguished road
Due to the gas explosion there were notices up in all hotels when we visited, advising you to only leave towels on the floor if they really needed washing, otherwise make them last. One hotel actually said that if you're staying for more than one night your towels will only be changed every third day.

We used to live in a housebus so are used to conserving water - a 3 minute shower is no problem. I follow the soap and shampoo, turn off, rinse and condition method too. I'd like one of those egg timers even if we don't end up in OZ. My teenage sons spend 20 minutes in the shower and then when you knock on the door, they say they haven't washed their hair yet.

I think I would struggle due to the fact it takes around 3 mins to reach luke warm, so if I kept turnin it off it would take me around 30mins he he, I do turn off the tap when brushin my teeth and so do the kids.

I only take 3 minute showers,I find if you wash your hair first (I don't use conditioner)then while you're washing your body, your hair is being rinsed for longer than if you washed your hair last.

We do the 4 min shower and have a bucket in with us so the water that cames off our bodys we use to water the garden, and always turn the tap off when we are brushing our teeth,it has made the kids think about the eviroment around them, in the uk they
wouldnt of even throught about it.

Thats a really good idea and one I have been practising way before I moved back to the UK (10 years ago)I also shave before I get in the shower,by just using a cup of water/razor,then obviously rinse when I get in the shower.I also used to have a bucket in with me and water the garden with it lol

I can manage a 4 minute shower quite easily!
