Thanks for the info

PK looks lovely using words like "pregistious" and "sought after" which sounds great.
My only problem is that I want to come to Oz not Britain in the sun - sorry, I know we all need to live somewhere.
We like places/houses with some character and I am not sure PK would do it for us.
We are researching from Shoalwater/Safety Bay down to Mandurah but who knows where we will end up.
If we could only sell to get there and see for ourselves!!!!

PS Im in the East Neuk

Mandy

Hi
We are like you, we've come to find Australia and not be a little Britain with sunshine! PK is a nice place, apparently there are so called 'rougher' areas but I've not found them yet! Also plenty of Aussies here too, all our neighbours are Aussies but of course there are poms her too, lets face it we're everywhere-lol

Plenty of Aussies where I live, but I think you`ll find lots of Poms all around the Rockingham, Safety Bay, Secret Harbour areas - in fact make that around most of Perth Metro. Your best bet would be to wait until you arrive and then have a good look around, plenty of older character areas around.

Pt Kennedy was the main area we were looking at because it was affordable and close to the beach, Rockingham, good schools etc. The only things putting me off is the commute to work (prob perth city), the wind (which i heard can be quite strong there) and the way people refer to it as Little Britain. We are planning to rent for around 6 months when we get there and get a proper feel for the place before we buy anywhere. Good Luck x

Hi
In the summer you'll be grateful of that wind! I don't find it a 'little Britain' but I guess it depends on what you are looking for. I'd say try it and see for a few months.

Be careful

Hi James,
always exciting when u see property that looks so nice and not far from beach. But i would definately advise that u wait until u arrive before buying in an area. All areas have lovely parts to them and not so lovely areas. You dont have to travel far to reach either of them and if you buy from abroad without sussing out the area..you take a chance. Dont worry about choice for buying. When u get here you will be spoiled for choice..and lots even better than you may see now.
Deffinately advise u to et here first then buy till your drop...lol

all the best on the move

Arthur Angela and Callum
