Mosquito

Ok,

we are between Perth, Brisbane and Sydney for our move next year.

However a major factor would be the mosquito situation as I break out in awful lumps when bitten!

So what is the situation in Perth area and which areas have the least problem regarding them?

Thanks,

Helen

Helen,

Can only speak for Perth, we where across there in April for a reccie - it was apparently the wettest on record all was Ok until the last 6 days or so, then the mossies came out in vengence. I don't suffer usually with them but those buggers where nasty - sorry for the bad news but they bite with vengence in Perth.

been here in perth 3months ,mozzies are a real problem i didnt realise i would be constantly putting on repellants even in so called winter they seem to be worse,i expect flies in the summer.
but i never really heard people complain about mozzies only in the east,so was quite shocked when we first arrived to get eaten alive.just dont like the thought of using repellant everyday for the rest of ourlives.

The Picketts is an unknown quantity at this point
I hear that Mandurah has a mozzy problem but I can honestly say that here in Waikiki (since last September when we arrived) we haven't really had a problem. If they are going to bite anyone it is usually me! Sat on a friends balcony at Singleton once as the sun went down but I just put some spray on then. Only had one or two in the house the whole time here so far.

Been bitten loads when holidaying in Noosa QLD.

Cheryl
