Hi

We live in Mandurah & love it here the place is booming & there are plans for more expansion we find plenty to do & now the train has arrived its an easy journey to the City for a night out if you are bored with the pubs & eating out places in Mandurah.

Perth has a laid back lifestyle but again there are plans for the city with a big expansion to include bars etc on the Perth foreshore... its a matter of opinion if this is a good or bad thing!

You should find a 4x2 around the price you are looking at within 10 minutes by car of the beach in Mandurah. Built on an estuary & with lots of lovely clean beaches there are big opportunities for those who love the water.

We have a friend who was a firefighter in the UK he came here & got a job with Alcoa locally running a fire fighting team there. Might be worth you writing to Alcoa to see if there are opportunities there. He loves the job

Your wife would have no problem finding work as a nurse in WA we have seen lots of people come here & get job offers or get offers prior to arrival both in Rockingham Hospital & Peel Health Campus at Mandurah. Rockingham is an easy 15 minute drive from Mandurah

Hope your plans go well

Hi JOHN, YOU HAVE ANSWERED ONE OF MY QUESTIONS, YOU ARE IN A SIMILAR POSITION TO US, I AM A NURSE AND A GOOD JOB IS A CERTAINTY FOR YOUR WIFE. MY HUSBAND IS A PRISON OFFICER AND LIKE YOU CAN'T GET A JOB BEFORE GOING, YOU ARE 8 YRS YOUNGER THOUGH AND I AM CERTAIN EVENTUALLY YOU WOULD GET INTO WHAT YOU WANT. EXCITING NIGHT LIFE IN PERTH, I AM SURE THERE IS SOME AS LONG AS YOU WILL TRAVEL, BUT I WOULD VISIT THERE TO BE CERTAIN. I HAVE SAID BEFORE APART FROM PERTH CITY AND FREEMANTLE CITY, MOST OTHER PLACES I VISITED WERE LIKE VERY SMALL TOWNS, NOT BUSY, OR BUSTLING BUT RELAXED AND CAREFREE. IF YOU WANT ALOT MORE ON OFFER SUCH AS BUILT UP AREAS WITH LOTS GOING ON THEN HEAD TO THE EAST COAST, BUT THE NEARER YOU GET TO IT THE DEARER THE HOUSES. ITS FANTASTIC EVERYWHERE COMPARED TO THE UK, CHEERS HELEN.

Perth is great. We are in our late 30's living north of the River. Have been to Mandurah a few times but find its where a lot of Perth people go to retire or really young families...

I would suggest you stay closer to the city. The happening places are Subiaco, Cottesloe, NorthBridge and Perth city and of course the beaches. Perth beaches are beautiful from North to South.

Hope this helps a little bit!!!!!
