Are there any people from Bristol, UK living in Perth?

Hello

Sorry - not some weird `Bristol ex-pats only club invitation` we're looking at moving to Perth in about 10 months. It's the only major place in Australia that we HAVE NEVER been to, but we have read enough to have really bought into making a life in Perth. ( married couple with two young kids)

Anyway, we wondered if there was anybody who could advise on districts/suburbs of Perth please? We live in Westbury-on-Trym in Bristol ( which is leafy, nice and kind of out of the way of all the main night life, but still close enough to central Bristol for work and `bright lights` occasionally if you want it ) And we'd want the equivalent - if that makes sense!?*

Can anyone offer any insight please?........Very grateful for any help.

Hey Guys

I am from WOT in bristol as well! Now live south of the river and heading to Perth next year -all going to plan. Good friends of mine who lived in Stoke Bishop moved to Kinross in Perth 2years ago, they ahve a 7yr old and 15yr old and they love it. Schools are good, they have a great network of people now and transport links ect are great. Neighbourhoods look lovely from their pictures so i think Kinross and surronding areas could be a good place to start for yourselves.

We are heading over to see them in Oct, like you we have been to Aus before but never Perth yet planning on living there! Sounds crazy but its sounds perfect for us. Two more of our freinds our moving to Perth from Bristol in bout 4months, looks like a mini Bris'ol exodus! ;o)

Good luck with it all, hope your find the place thats a mini WOT in Perth, i do miss it now i live in South Bristol! ;o) x
