we are heading further north up to Ocean reef but my cousin lives in Kardinya WA is about 30 mins according to google earth but it is a very nice area and we stayed between fremantle and cotteslow but both are quiet pricey but very nice.
when are you on you way and are you going to essex in June??
Canning vale itself is nice and lots of new houses you've also got some new developments in Southern River, Kardinya is nice, you've got Murdoch, Leeming, Willeton and Bullcreek which are more established suburbs. Rush hour can add a fair bit of time to your journey (which is something to consider). Hubby gets stuck on Tonkin highway going/coming home to/from work (malaga) every morning

Just one thing to remember if working in the south it is best to live in the south... as the commute in the mornings and evenings will be a killer if you are in the north....
An example of this is my son does gymnastics on a wednesday in subiaco..... it takes us 25 mins to get there from leeming.... during school kick out time and just over half an hour at 4.30.... we literally have to dash out of the building and go for it as if i leave it a minute later we are stuck in grid lock on the highway....
any other time the trip takes under 10 mins.... !!!
so i would agree with ali as to the southern suburbs..
byford is an up and coming suburb and not too far from canning vale, but there are new housing estates going up all over nicholson road,
South tho if ur working in canning vale
i work in cannington and live in Port Kennedy, not to bad of a travel
A colleague lives in Port Kennedy and travels to Armadale and it takes her 45 each way - she didn't think it was alot but she says it's taking it's toll everyday. Byford is about 30 to canning vale I live in Leeming and it takes me 20 - 25 mins to get to Armadale
