Wink appliying for licence theory
Hi everyone,

I've read in this book on Perth that when you arrive in oz to live and you apply to convert your Driving licence to WA licence you have to take a theory test. It says you have to get 24 out of 30 right, has anyone taken this yet and is it a peice of cake. I have been driving since I was 21 and I'm 39 now so I should P***S it but, I hate tests. I flap like a chuck(chicken)

I just wanted to know how evryone else has got on.

I am in NSW and never had to take a theory test for my aussie driving licence, are you sure you have too ?

Hi, all we did was take our Uk one in, had an eye test and hey presto we had a WA driving licence

We live in the centre of perth and all we had to do was do a simple eye test, fill out a form of contact details and hay presto we were issued with a australian licence.....

so don't worry there is no theory here!!

Please can you tell us where you take your UK license to in Perth to actually get an Aussie one. Do we need to provide a recent photo also?

Be good to add to my list of things to do when we get there.
