I was gobsmacked to learn that in Queensland they don't do daylight saving. Perhaps they think they have enough sunlight hours, but when locals tell you that in summer it is light at 4.30am and dark by 7.30pm it really seems such a waste.
Got me wondering - Do they have daylight saving in WA or any other state?
I think in WA they are 2 years into a 3 year trial but I don't know the ins and outs.
Cheers
Wayne

I luvvvvvvvv daylight saving, after work being able to get out in the garden, play golf, go for bbq to the park, long walks or just relaxing by the pool with a glass of wine!
When we were in Perth it was there 1st year of daylight savings. It was the norm for us but they didnt seem to like it. Hope they have got used to it now as I cant imagine it dark at 7.30pm in the summer.

Oh good. That's one notch on the WA side then.
Not sure how we'd find a summer without daylight saving either. Here in the south of the south island of NZ, being of low latitude, it is light until 10 -10.30pm during summer. We don't get the same temperatures but those long evenings are lovely.
Hi all
Apparently here in WA the vote will be office workers versus everyone else (according to oh workmates anyway) Office workers that don't go to work until 9am and finish at 5pm want the daylight at the end of the day and the early birds want it in the morning as they finsih earlier. Me? I'm not much fussed either way to be honest!
