Got to admit, dont even think about Daylight saving over here! If its dark out I turn on my outside lights and music and still sit there!!!!! Make sure I light me mossie candle tho!

I guess you adapt. Its just that you're unlikely to be out walking, or on the beach after dark. I'm amazed that anyone finds it inconvenient. We've had it here for years and yes we had people saying it faded the curtains too. Lol. The only people I remember that complained were the dairy farmers because the cows turned up for milking at the same time regardless and the farmers had to rearrange their day.
The tradies dont seem to like the daylight saving as when it gets to the end of summer the daylight doesnt appear until after 7am. The builders etc usually start work around 6am & knock off around 2pm in the summer because it was dark later into the day it means they dont get home as early. There was talk at the end of this summer that they may keep daylight saving but finish it earlier in the year to overcome this problem.
The only downside I found was that because the sun is up longer into the evening the homes didnt cool down as quickly for a decent nights sleep of course the brickwork doesnt start to cool down until the sun goes down! But I like the dayligt in the evening once it is dark early I feel like I need to go to bed
