Retravision (as mentioned here is also very good and of course (maybe once you settle? The local weekly mag, the Quokka is superb...
THANK YOU to all the great info posted in my last question. SOrry I just seem to have so many questions.
If I arrive in Perth with no furniture etc what am I looking at to kit out a 2 bed appartment with the bare necesities of beds fridge couch etc - is second hand worth it and available or is new better?. How much money will a cheap 2nd hand car cost? How much will i need to live before i get my first salary cheque - which would be 6 weeks time?
Hi
Just a quick tip-when you buy your electrical stuff, white goods etc..if you get them all from the same store they will give you a decent discount. We bought a fridge, washer and tv from Rick Harts recently & they knocked $200 dollars off the combined price! We found Kmart good for plates, mugs, cutlery etc..too.

There is an Ikea in Innaloo so I would zap up there and get their basic stuff Good design and cheap
How much you need to live............... The Social Security rate is about $200 a week plus your rent so in theory that is how much you need to get by....................
