Hello, we are moving over in 4 weeks time, have been looking for furnished rentals in the Belmont area. Can anyone tell me what this area is like to live in? We need somewhere not too far from the airport. Thanks, Myra.

belmont is only 5 mins from us,
its an older suburb with a large shopping centre and only 10 mins from the city and about the same to the airport.
why belmont? you can also look around high wycombe ,forrestfield,maida vale etc which are all nicer areas(in my oppinion) and nearer the airport but without the air traffic noise belmont is under the flight path

Thanks, problem is we are renting our house, here, so have to leave the furniture and will need a furnished place for first few months. They are far and few between! Have seen a couple in Belmont and Redcliffe, other than that we would have to look over in south Perth. Only 4 weeks now so we will just have to go for what is on offer! But, cant wait! Myra.
I know, we earmarked quite a few, but they have all gone! Wont put us off, though, I am sure we can sleep on the floor somewhere unfurnished til we get some furniture! Myra.

hello everyone. just looking for advice on moving to perth and renting etc. we want be moving till oct hopefully if all goes to plan. we will be sending over alot of of furniture via a shipping company and it will take 6/8weeks to arrive. i have been looking at the rentals on reiwa and i was told you couldnt rent until you view the property first. so then i thought we would be best to rent a fully furnished holiday home for say 4weeks that would then give us time to find a unfurnishe dhouse for when our stuff turns up. is this a good idea? im doing all the investigations for my family but im getting stuck on what to do for the best can anyone tell me what they have done or what you intend to do. everyone seems so clued up on this site.
We are in the same boat as you, but we have only 4 weeks to get organised! I have been in touch with a couple of rental agents, they dont seem interested if you are not actually in Australia, so we are going to stay in a cheap motel the first 4 or 5 days and view a number of furnished properties I have noted from the rental section of realestate.com.au. Furnished holiday homes(the ones i looked up, anyway) are expensive - some rental agents will give you a 3 month lease on a house. Good luck - it has been a huge hassle getting everything organised these last few months, just hope it will all be worth it. Optimistic me!
