Wanting to move to Perth

Hiya

We are planning to move to Oz and love the area of Perth. It ticks all the boxes.

I am so confused and I am really not sure where to begin. I will first of all introduce ourselves to give you an idea of who we are etc...

My husband who is 30 and training to be an Accountant. He is currently taking his CIMA Stage 1 papers. He plans to be qualified in 3 years. I think he has to be qualified to gain a visa entry. Unfortunately the wait is 3 years

Anyway about me I am 29 years old. I am currently finishing my NVQ level 3 in Health. I am thinking of either becoming a Midwife or Nurse. I am more or less thinking of Midwifery. That is a three year course. The reason I am training in the UK is because it will fingers crossed allow time to go quicker to the move

My children. My daughter is 8 at the moment and I have twin boys aged 4. We have a 3 year old GSD.

My sister in law is moving out to Oz within 18 months. They have just applied for thier VISA. They can not wait to go.

At the moment I am really confused. I dont know where to begin? I want to be there in 3 years. The plan is either to go when my dh qualifies or to go on a family visa if there are any hiccups.

I am working through our financial ties. I am planning on getting them paid off. Decorating the house etc... Is there anything I am missing. Is there any other way I should start getting the ball rolling.

Any help or advice would be most welcomed.

Hi,

If you decide to do your nurse training at this end (UK), you may be able to apply for the new nurse graduate programme over in Oz. When you enter your third year of nurse training, start applying for grad programmes.
To give you an idea, Google 'grad prgrammes' for more information.

Sorry it is not much help but good luck

Gill

Hi
Like Mike says the expo, its free, it was a brill for research (and I would say research your ass off!) Mike has a trade so there was loads of contacts for him workwise, and i spent most of my time chatting to people about their experiences with schools, kids, and what to expect and avoid.

Also, you probably need to think about whether to use an agent or not. (hope no egg sucking with that!) XX Good luck

Hi as Gill says I would do your nurse training in the UK then apply for the graduate programme as you enter your final year.

My husband has already sent an application to the Expo. He hasnt heard anything as of yet. There is so much to do. At first I thought 3 years was way too long, but perhaps it will give me time for a couple of trips before hand and get everything finalised here too.

Hi
My name is Michelle (30yrs), married to Jon (32yrs) and have two small children. I am a senior cancer nurse, wanting to move her family to 'PERTH'. We are also at the early stages of visa application, although as a nurse, I have been offered 3 sponsorship deals. So I could be out there alot sooner.
I can't help you with you migration questions, just wanted to say hi, goodluck and hope to chat soon. xxx
