The Picketts is an unknown quantity at this point
Where abouts do you want to settle - NOR or SOR? There are a lot of us here in PIO in both areas but speaking for myself I find where we live to be reasonably peaceful - SOR in Waikiki. There is usually the sound of grasscutting on various days but that usually means people are looking after their gardens. Otherwise we don't seem to be troubled by too many children, loud parties or car racers. I have found that many people have dogs which bark a lot but I think that seems to be a general thing everywhere. I think it is because they are left outside whilst owners are at work etc. I was horrified when I realised that the house next door to us had five young children but I have to say we hardly ever hear them - can't say the same for their two young dogs though - still they do seem to be settling down now.

I suppose it will depend on what other criteria you are looking for besides peaceful which will influence your decision on where to settle and buy a house. Wish you luck.

Cheryl

Our area is quite peaceful too - I guess the one to talk to is BobCat who knows lots of areas and has been here a number of years.

What is your ceiling level................. what sort of prices are we talking?

If you are planning to live north of the river give my office a call on 9405 7148 and i can at least point you in the right direction as which suburbs are good.......... and which suburbs aren't all that good?

I don't normally work south of the river........... although i have sold houses in Mandurah and also in South Perth. If you are planning to live south of the river I can put you onto someone down there who can take care of your real estate needs?

After 9 months here surely you have some indication as to where you want to live? If not..... don't panic............ I can put you right. You need to get it right first time so important decisions have to be made.

Best time to catch me is mid-afternoon as I am usually tied up with meetings first thing Monday morning.

Good luck in your quest to find your dream home.
