Thumbs up Dog stranded!!

We are moving to Perth on Thursday and everthing is now sorted except for a last minute nightmare concering our beloved doggie Jess. Due to problems at Perth quarantine, and some unforseen problems with blood test results, she has now got to be flown to Sydney to 'serve her time' then flown to Perth. This is causing us lots of heartache as she is a very 'clingy' dog who craves our attention. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on best way to get her back to us? Please re-assure us!

Hi There

You poor things. What happened with Byford & Blood tests? She will be fine trust me. We shipped out 8 year old dog out in July before we even had our visa (not recommended) we were stressed beyond belief she failed her blood test but passed at the last minute. Are they flying her back to Perth after her time is up?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply,
For some strange reason she failed 1 of her blood tests which consequently meant having to take her off the planned flight and put back the quarantine by 3 weeks. The earliest we could re-book the quarantine at Perth was Mid April! This has meant the only option is to send her to Sydney who have plenty of room. Despite the extra £300 to fly to Sydney we now have to arrange a flight back to Perth for her! I was wondering if anyone has any information on the best way/airline to get her back? It has put a bit of a dampener on our move on Thursday because we were looking forward to seeing her at Perth and will now be worrying if she is ok. I suppose we are lucky that the extra 3 weeks she has to spend in the UK will be spent with my parents who will spoil her rotten!!!!

Hi
We were going to bring our Border Collie over ez 9, but the strees would have been too much 4 him. hes only been in Kennels once this yesr and it wasa nitemare for him. He lost weight and ended up with sores and abcessses. He is scared of his own shadow and as we arer going to be renting he would have to stay outdoors. ( ez an indoors dog). Also reading On BE forums of other people whos dogs have had encounters with the local crittwers often fatal, He would see a snake or summat and throw his ball for it :)

I am so sorry it must be dreadful for you. But I am sure everything will be Ok we brought our 2 dogs over they had never been in kennels before . We used Jetpets to fly the last bit from Melbourne to Hobart they were Ok and arranged collection and put them on the plane. It was such a great feeling to pick them up from the airport and as soon as they heard us they started to bark so at least they hadnt forgotten us (sorry I am so Stupid) anyway they wre fine and have a great time over here they spend ages outside sunning themselves! Good Luck and I hope that everything works ourt OK
