suburbs/employment opportunities

HI, new to this site, going on short rekkie next month to check out areas north and south of perth with a view to emigrating there.I am a staff nurse so hopefully i should be able to find a job but not so sure about OH.At present he is a road surfacing contracts manager but previously was a block paving layer [also ex cop! tried everything!]Could anyone advise us to which areas he would have more chance of finding a job. most of the big construction and mining companies are in either /welshpool or kewdale
south of the river in perth .2 good employment sites are Job Search - Australian jobs - Job listing - Find a job - CareerOne or SEEK - Australia's no. 1 jobs, employment, career and recruitment site there should be plenty of construction jobs on thare .or go on to www.thestreetsofperth.com.au and look for surfacing contractors there should be contact nos in the adverts hope this helps cheers keily .

I am a nurse too, hoping to move to 'perth' early next year. My husband hasn't found work yet either.
