Hi I am new to the site
I am currently applying for registration to the nurses board in western australia (? to work at peel health campus hospital)and unable to speak to them for advice. On the registration form it states the verification of registration needs to be forwarded directly from nurses board.
?? do I have to contact the NMC to send this or will nbwa contact the NMC direct.
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks Carlie

Hello Carlie You need to contact the NMC direct and ask them to send verification of your registration direct to the nursing board in Australia. I did this for my Queensland Nursing Council registration. Here's the link with details on the NMC web:
Which visa type are you applying for? If you need a skills assessment done too, it's worth asking the NMC to send verification to the ANMC at the same time. This way you only have to pay the fee once. Again this is what I did. They'll send you out confirmation by post once they have sent them, although I never got confirmation from QNC or ANMC that they had received them!
Anyway, good luck, and let me know if there is anything else that I might be able to help with!

Hi Ali thanks for message
No I didn't know you needed to I have only just begun application I contacted peel health campus in Perth they sent me the forms and asked I register with the nbwa first. I haven't started visa.
which is the best way? should I send the forms or do I need to get skills assessed first any help would be appreciated.
I applied for a 136 PR visa, I had my skills assessed by the ANMC then asked that they trasfer my file to NBWA, I justs then filled in their paper work and sent it off with money (didn't send any more stuff). If you're going on sponsorship it may be that you can just apply to the nursing board. The NMC sent off the verification of my registration directly (after receiving a fee of course - I think it was £36 last year).

Hi i did it the same way as you , Register with NBWA and then with the ANMC , it works out alot cheaper because when you register with the AMNC you only need to do the modified assesment , its about $300 cheaper . Take a look on the ANMC web site at the cost .
Hi, am new to site and was interested to see that you got good score in ielts exam,am a nurse also but am having kittens about the thought of having to sit it. Am desperately trying to get job offer but so far no bites. Do you think the test should be a doddle considering that I have an A level in English albeit it was taken 20 plus years ago? Am

Hello! And firslty welcome to PIO! I have Higher English (Scottish equivalent to A Level), which was gained about 16 years ago! Have you booked you test yet? I think the most important thing to do is to get hold of some practice materials to familiarise yourself with the test format. Some people use the official IELTS pratice material, which should be available direct from your test centre. I just used free practice stuff off the internet. Can't remember the exact sites I used now, but just do a Google search. When you actually sit the test, just relax, read the questions very carefully, and listen carefully to the listening part. Try not to loose your concentration too! It is a bit scarry, but f=if you've done your practice, you'll be fine!
Where in Oz are you heading? We're aiming for the Gold Coast, and the sooner the better!!
If you need any more help let me know!
