Ditto to everything Sarah said. I used to work for a construction/real estate company and references were really important.

Just be prepared to be flexible and be ready to house hunt from day one. Also any houses you are really interested in, call the agent and see if they can email you the application form so you can fill it in and just it to them on the day.

Moving to Joondalup

Hi everyone,
hH just read all your posts and have to say that Sarah from Redditch has been so helpful to us and all the other info from others great!
Like you, we are moving over at the beginning of Feb - you are a little ahead of us.

We think we may be renting in Currambine - just waiting to hear from the present rentees as they are breaking their lease early to buy. How difficult is it to get a rental!!! Time of year I expect?

Just wanted to wish you all luck and hopefully be able to meet up later on?

Keep the posts going,

Nicki, Darryl, Harlea 11 and Phoebe 9 and Blue

Hi there
We have a daughter, son in law and grand daughter living in Butler, moving to possibly Carramar in April. Husband and myself are moving to Connolly (overlooking Joondalup Resort golf course), he moved over 2wks ago, the dog left yesterday and I am going on 7 Jan 08. I can recommend life over there, the suburbs and schools are very good from what we have heard, dont know much about the High Schools really, but there are loads of Brits over there that will put you right. You'll have a wonderful life, all the best.

HI Nikki & Family + All,

My move isnt quite finalised just yet! Unfortunately I have to go through the courts to take my 2 girls who I have residency over. This has been a difficult time and in 6 days I will hopefully have the result I want.
I would love to meet up but want to get their first. We have had to prepare everything for the courts (place to live, jobs etc).
Getting a place is hard!

Speak soon and wish me luck!

Hi Guys

Both Tapping primary and Carramar primary (close by) are very good primary schools. Wanneroo Senior High is OK!

Hi Rensche

I appreciate that the above is not "migration assistance." However, since you are a Registered Migration Agent, would you pleae be good enough to amend your signature so that your full name (real name not just the name of your business) and your MARN number appear on every post that you publish and on evry PM that you send, please?

You can do this by clicking on the User CP button at the top left of your screen. Then click on the Edit Signature option from the drop-down menu which will appear. This will ensure that the details required by the forum rules will appear on every post and PM by you without your having to do anything specific to make it happen. If you look at one of the posts by Alan Collett, you will see what the "finished result" looks like on the screen.

Thanks

Gill

But the signature didn't appear. But now it has! Sorry - I'll get the hang of it.
