The people I've spoken to either love it or hate it - we've only done it the once and it didn't seem bad - perhaps 'cos we're used to it in the uk

EM&M will become famous soon enough
Being in Queensland the only annoying thing now is looking at the TV paper and wondering if the program is on at 7pm or 6pm lol, M was VERY unhappy when he put the TV for the sport only to find it had been on the hour before hehe.

the few people we are starting to know down here that are Aussies don't seem to like it much.we were discussing it earlier, why don't they just put it back half hour and leave it there it would probably save a lot of moaning ?

the clocks only went forward 1 hour, As they put the clocks back 1 hour in the UK at the same time it means there is now a 2 hour difference.

I've always thought they should stop doing it in the UK. I gather it was done during the war to try and get as much daylight into the working hours as possible, because you had to avoid using lights. So it seems a bit obsolete to me. Seems strange that they should start clock changing in Oz now, as there seems to be no real reason for it.

I think the annoying thing for me is trying to get young children to change their body clocks everytime the clocks change.

This is the story of daylight saving so far in WA...
At the first daylight saving referendum held in Western Australia on 8 March 1975, voters were asked, “Are you in favour of the standard time in the state being advanced on hour from the last Sunday in October in each year until the first Sunday in March next following?” The proposal to make daylight saving permanent after a trial period was rejected. A second daylight saving referendum was held on 7 April 1984 posing a similar question and the proposal to make daylight saving permanent was again rejected. At a third referendum on 4 April 1992 the proposal was also rejected.
Now we're are having another trial, this time 3 years, this is the second summer. After the 3rd summer a referundum will be held, supposedly within 2 months of the clocks going back in 2009.

NSW, Melbourne and Adelaide all have daylight saving. Parts of QLD also do.

Me personally, I hate it.
